In its April 18 story titled “Election Official Questioned By Police After Fraud Confession,” RFE/RL Armenia Report quoted the chairman of the election commission in the village of Oshakan, Spartak Yeghiazarian, as saying that he was questioned by the chief of the Armenian Police Service, Hayk Harutiunian. Yeghiazarian said on Wednesday that in fact he was questioned by the police chief of his Araragatsotn region and that his earlier reference to Harutiunian was incorrect.
