YEREVAN, (Itar-Tass) - Russia will supply Armenia with 5,000 tons of seeds of winter grain as relief to Armenian districts affected by last year's drought.
Seeds are expected to be forthcoming in early September after some technical matters are clarified, Hovsep Khloyan, Armenian deputy agriculture minister, told Tass on Wednesday. The Russian side will also bear the transportation expenses.
The Russian Agriculture Ministry will supply strains of seeds adapted to the local climate and long since tested in Armenia.
