Prince Charles Greeted By Protesters In Armenia

A group of environmental activists staged a protest outside the Opera House in Yerevan Wednesday evening as Britain’s visiting Prince Charles, accompanied by Armenia’s top leadership, arrived there for a concert. With rhymed slogans the protesters denounced plans by a British company to invest in a gold mining project in Vayots Dzor arguing that it will imperil the province’s fragile eco-system.
