Head of Armenian TV and Radio Board Killed in Yerevan

The head of Armenia's television and radio broadcasting board, Tigran Naghdalian, has died after being shot earlier today by unknown
assailants in Yerevan.

Tigran Naghdalian was shot as he was leaving his parent's home in
central Yerevan. He was rushed to a hospital, where he later
succumbed to his injuries.

Naghdalian worked as a stringer for RFE/RL's Armenian Service from
1994 to 1997.

No motive for the killing has been established. The perpetrators
remain at large.
