A 100-Year-Old Blind Witness

Zvart Muradyan was born in 1912 in the village of Dalibaba in the province of Basen, which is in eastern Turkey today. For more than nine decades Zvart has used her now wrinkled fingers as her eyes. On the road of deportation, Zvart, who was then six, got a very dangerous infectious disease from which she lost her eyesight. "Life is like a dream",- she says.
