According to Agence France Pressee report, today Pope John Paul II hailed his upcoming visits to Kazakhstan and Armenia during a mass in his summer residence. The head of the Roman Catholic Church will visit to Kazakhstan on September 22. Pope John Paul II will visit to Armenia on September 25 where he will be the guest of the Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II. He will also meet with Armenian President Robert Kocharian.
Speaking to a group of Christian believers gathered in his summer residence outside Rome, the head of the Roman Catholic Church said he is "entrusting the outcome of the trip, a new stop of my service to the Church and the world, to Mary."
In Armenia Pope John Paul II will take part in official celebrations of the 1,700th anniversary of the adoption of Christianity as the country's official religion.
