The Vision of Death

This film is dedicated to the memory of the great Armenian poet, victim of Joseph Stalin’s terror Yeghishe Charents and his wife Izabella. Tens of thousands of ordinary Armenians, as well as scholars, writers, artists and cultural figures fell victim to Stalin’s repressions, were killed or languished in prisons, labor camps and in exile during the years of the Great Purge. The film is based on the memories of Izabella Charents.
