The Armenian police on Tuesday stopped opposition leader Raffi Hovannisian and thousands of his supporters from marching towards the Presidential Palace in central Yerevan to protest what they believe was Serzh Sarkisian’s “false’ inauguration for a second presidential term. A number of scuffles occurred in the process between protesters and police officers in riot gear.
