The Armenian Assembly of America, a Washington based Armenian lobbying organization, said today that Republican Congressman Henry Hyde indicated that he would support a pro-Armenian resolution sponsored by Congressional Caucasus on Armenian issues.

According to a press release issued today by the Armenian Assembly of America, during a district meeting with Armenian Assembly staff and local Armenian staff, Henry Hyde (R-IL), Chairman of the House International Relations Committee, said he will support the resolution calling for Armenia's inclusion in east-west commercial and energy corridors.

The Co-chairs of the Congressional Caucasus on Armenian issues John Knollenberg (R-MI) and Frank Pallone (D-NJ) and two Caucasus members Congressmen Joseph Crowley (D-NY) and John Sweeny (R-NY) introduced the Resolution calling for Armenia's inclusion in the Caspian energy projects in June.
